I am pleased with the progress I've been making. More so with the emotional progress than getting stuff done at work, but I'm glad for the latter as well.

Love
*sigh, smile* I just went on a sunset bike ride and fell in love with it -- I'm definitely going to have to ride around my work campus more often! *grinning from the endorphin rush* For now, it's time to get back to work... I've got hours to go until midnight.

I am alive and unharmed.

Though I work at the end of the Red Line, I was not riding Metro today, and thus was not part of the deadliest accident in Metro's history.

:-( My thoughts are with those who were riding on the two trains that collided, as well as with the families of the 4 dead and many injured.

This morning has been difficult, but it could have been much worse. Both cars have been to the shop, and mine is now fixed for less than $300. My cough isn't any better, but it also isn't any worse, and I had time to get a bowl of soup with Rob before he headed off to work. Now I'm home and going to take a nap before I get up and do some chores. Life could be worse.

Caps win! Caps win! Caps win!

Ovechkin got his first playoff hat trick and about 100 hats were thrown onto the ice!!! (Sidney Crosby got a hat trick too, but who gives a damn)

The Capitals are now up 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Semifinals! Best of 7 games -- Let's Go Caps!

That's how long I've been sick. I've forgotten what it is to be healthy, and that is REALLY depressing. I'm running out of Sick Leave, so I'm at work today for as long as I can manage, then will go home to sleep. I'm also worried that something bigger might be at work here. :-( We'll see. With any luck I'll be able to kick this so I can be healthy for the long drive to and from GARF at the end of the month. *sigh, sips tea*

On April 24th, I said that I'd had the BEST time at the Caps Playoff Game that night. MAN WAS I WRONG because last night BLEW IT OUT OF THE WATER!!! *huge grin*

When my favorite player, Sergei Fedorov, scored a goal to put us up 2-1 with 5 minutes left, I rose to my feet, screaming and cheering (along with 20,000 others) and didn't sit down until time had run out and we'd won. I felt like I was in the Roman Coliseum, it was so loud and raucous and intense. *grin* My whole body felt ELECTRIFIED! (in a good way, of course) Now, for the first time in 11 years, the Capitals are in the 2nd round of the playoffs! WOO HOO!

*small smile* Still, I won't say it's the "best" time, because now we get to play the Penguins and the talented (but occasionally whiny) Sidney Crosby -- with any luck, times will be getting better and better! *grin*

Woo Hoo! I just had the BEST time at the Capitals Playoff Game!!!

It was do-or-die, win-or-go-home, and we scored FOUR GOALS on one of the best goaltenders in the league!!!

YEAH!!!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

March 11th is the partially official holiday for my favorite band, 311.
(WHY they are my favorite band is a secret to most people.)

Their music is very hard to describe because it blends many styles (rock, rap, reggae, ballads, etc) and refuses to be pigeon-holed. They get a lot of play on XM radio, but almost none on standard radio stations. Their concerts are AMAZING and they have a very strong grassroots fan base.

If you want to check out their music, go to www.311.com

DST and staying up until 5:15 AM ripped my body, mind, and sleep schedule apart. It was tough to deal with, but not as hard as I thought.

Now, after about 6 hours sleep, I'm back at work and ready for a productive day, plus more sleep tonight, and a better week and weekend!

I've just realized that I'm living reactively, not proactively. (Scratch that: I'm not living, I'm merely surviving.)

I hate it.

I need to change it.

I need the energy to make changes.

*sigh* No time to take a nap.

Maybe tomorrow.

I find myself busy all the time. Sometimes it gets so bad that I feel like I am drowning.

I hate being overwhelmed, and yet I constantly put things into my schedule and expect myself to be Wonder Woman and get everything done.

Does anyone else out there do this? Have you found a way to STOP from doing it?
